Leading Imperfectly: The Value of Being Authentic for Leaders, Professionals, and Human Beings

By James T. Robilotta

James is one of the funniest, most genuine people I know and his personality comes through in his writing style. This book focuses on a professional setting, but has so many lessons for fathers. Admitting our shortcomings and leading from a place of love and vulnerability can help all of our families.

James emphasizes the importance of understanding and telling our own stories to teach others, including our children. As a new dad I’m sure he’s putting his own lessons to work and I think you’ll find his stories extremely relatable.

From James’s website: “There is nothing wrong with being a leader who doesn’t always get it right. It’s okay to be wrong, to make mistakes, to live a messy life. The important part is to keep hustling and never to settle for mediocre.”
